Cookies and GDPR on the ARTEX-IS.com website
Here’s what cookies we use on the ARTEX Information Systems, s.r.o. website, why we use them, and how you control what gets stored on your devices.
How we use cookies on this website
You can categorize cookies by how long they last and by who puts them on your device and why. By duration, there are two types:
Session cookies (short term) stay on your computer until you close your browser, then they’re automatically deleted.
Persistent cookies (long term) stay on your computer longer (depends on your browser settings and the specific cookie) or until you manually remove them. We’ve got instructions below for how to do that in different browsers.
Based on who creates and processes the cookies (meaning who stores them on your device and then uses the info in them), we can split them into two groups:
First party cookies come directly from the website or scripts on the same domain. They usually handle the site’s basic functions. Without them, most websites couldn’t give you their core features or save your settings.
Third party cookies typically come from advertising systems, social media widgets, analytics tools, or embedded videos.
Which cookies we use on this website
Technical cookies (first party, session) that we need for basic website functionality.
Google Analytics cookies (third party, persistent) that help us tailor the site better for you. In Google Analytics, we only use features that don’t collect data for profiling users (like age, gender, interests, IP address, etc.).
Advertising cookies from Google (AdWords, DoubleClick), Facebook, and YouTube (third party, persistent). We use these for marketing profiling. They let us stay in touch with you through personalized ads on social networks, for example.
Technical cookies from the CookieBot banner (third party, persistent) that remember your choices about which (non technical) cookies you let us use.
We never use cookies to personally identify you, and we never put sensitive or personal data in them.
How you can adjust cookies on your device
You can delete any cookies already on your computer anytime you want. Most browsers also let you block cookies from being placed on your device at all. If you do that though, you might not be able to use all the features that websites or online stores normally offer. Here’s where to find detailed info on managing cookies in your browser:
– Chrome
– Firefox
– Internet Explorer
– Opera
– Safari
For more details about cookies in general, check out AboutCookies.org.
Another way to control cookies specifically on our site is through the CookieBot toolbar that showed up when you first loaded our page. You can pick which cookies you’ll allow and which you won’t. It also gives you more detail about each type so you can make an informed choice.
